WHAT IS TEXTMASTER?
TextMaster is an integrated platform which links writing professionals (authors, translators and/or proofreaders) with clients (e.g. small or medium-sized businesses, administrations, or groups) looking for a high quality text content for communication aids, commercial brochures, etc.
HOW DO I CONTACT TEXTMASTER?

WHO ARE THE TEXTMASTER COMMUNITY’S AUTHORS?
An author is a person who excels at providing a perfect service in terms of writing, translating, or proofreading content. An author is therefore a writing specialist: he/she may be a journalist, a writer, a blogger, a teacher or a student.
WHO ARE TEXTMASTER’S CLIENTS?
TextMaster’s clientele is very varied, since it ranges from individuals and small or medium-sized companies to administrations and large international groups.

WHAT IS A ROYALTY-FREE TEXT?
A royalty-free text is a text whose distribution, modification, and commercial rights are ceded by the original author at the moment of its sale.

REGISTRATION
IS REGISTERING WITH TEXTMASTER OPEN AND FREE?
Registering with TextMaster is entirely open and free for authors. To register and start producing content, click here.
WILL MY DETAILS BE VISIBLE?
TextMaster is a closed, anonymous platform. This means that at no time will the details of an author or client be communicated or broadcast to the other party.
WHY DO I NEED TO GIVE MY POSTAL ADDRESS WHEN I REGISTER?
In order to guarantee the reliability of the proposed services, TextMaster has to check every author’s application as thoroughly as possible. Therefore, in order to confirm their real existence, we ask each author to provide their postal address.
HOW DO I SUBMIT MY APPLICATION TO TEXTMASTER?
If you want to join TextMaster’s community of writing professionals, all you have to do is pass the evaluation tests for the relevant activities. For example, if you are bilingual, trilingual, quadrilingual, or more, you may choose to submit your application to become a translator for all these languages into your native language, but also to become a writer and proofreader in your native language. These exercises will then be evaluated by our moderators.
CAN I ADD NEW ACTIVITY TO MY TEXTMASTER PROFILE?
It is entirely possible for an author to add one or more skills to their profile whenever they like. Let us take the example of a writer who has perfect French and English. When he registers, he chooses to register as a FR writer only, but after several weeks, he decided to give more time to TextMaster. He may then submit his application to become an EN>FR translator.
CAN I WORK IN MORE THAN ONE LANGUAGE?
For quality reasons, you can only work in your native language. So, if you indicate that English is your mother tongue, you can only take the tests to be a copywriter and proofreader in English and a translator from the different languages you know into English.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY APPLICATION TO BE EVALUATED?
Every application is evaluated manually by our moderation team. We do everything we can to make this a quick process, but considering the large number of registrations TextMaster receives every day, at certain times the wait between registration and validation may be longer. We apologize if you have experienced this wait. You can also find your application status in your author profile.
CAN I ACCESS THE MISSIONS BEFORE MY APPLICATION IS APPROVED?
After you have completed the tests, you can see the available missions on TextMaster. However, you cannot work on any until your application is accepted.
WHY HAS MY APPLICATION BEEN TURNED DOWN?
For the TextMaster teams, the most important thing is being able to guarantee the best service. Obviously, this means we have a rigorous selection process to choose the authors that will fulfill our clients’ requests. Therefore if an evaluation does not respect our standards in terms of spelling, syntax, or vocabulary, we cannot accept it.
MY APPLICATION WAS TURNED DOWN. CAN I TRY AGAIN?
Yes. If your application was turned down by our moderation team, you can try one more time. Just make sure you take careful note of the reasons that were given for the rejection on your first attempt.
HOW DO I DE-REGISTER FROM TEXTMASTER?
To suspend or remove your TextMaster account, you only need to send us your request using the form available under ‘Support’.
HOW DO I REMOVE AN ACTIVITY FROM MY AUTHOR PROFILE?
You are entirely free to remove an activity for which you have been accepted by the TextMaster moderators from your profile. To do this, just go to your profile and click the ‘Remove’ button corresponding to the activity in question. You will only be approached for activities that are still valid.
EARNINGS AND PAYMENTS
WHEN AND HOW WILL I BE PAID?
To request the balance of your earnings generated on TextMaster, you only need to make the request via the ‘Settle my account’ page, in the administration section of your account. This command is active from the moment when your account contains an amount higher or equal to $70.
DO I NEED TO HAVE A PAYPAL ACCOUNT TO RECEIVE PAYMENT?
Yes, it is necessary to have a PayPal account to receive your earnings. You can create one for free by clicking here.
HOW MUCH CAN I EXPECT TO EARN THROUGH TEXTMASTER?
That depends on a set of different criteria, including your experience within the community, your evaluation, your production volume, the level of technical skill and expertise required by the assignment, the type of assignment (writing, translating, or proofreading), etc. On average our authors receive between 1,4 and 15,68, cents per word inclusive.
HOW CAN I EARN MORE THROUGH TEXTMASTER?
There are several ways of increasing your earnings through TextMaster: experience and qualification. The more content an author produces, and the higher his/her qualification, the higher his/her earnings will be. Therefore, for an equivalent task, an author who has already produced millions of words for TextMaster will be better paid than one who has only just registered.
CAN I FIX MY OWN RATE FOR THE CONTENT THAT I AM GOING TO PRODUCE?
No. The pay scale is determined by TextMaster. The aim of this approach is to guarantee stable pay for the authors and to avoid competition for the lowest offer.
HOW DO I REACH STANDARD LEVEL?
Our moderation team's initial evaluation is constantly in review by our system, according to different criteria. By submitting quality work over time, you can see your level improve from Basic to Standard.
HOW CAN I REACH EXPERT LEVEL?
If you have expertise in a specific domain, you should let us know. Contact Support and provide documents proving your expertise (diplomas, articles, etc.). Our team will review these elements and modify your level if necessary.
REFERRAL PROGRAM
HOW CAN I EARN MONEY THROUGH THE REFERRAL PROGRAM?
TextMaster offers a referral program that potentially enables authors to increase their earnings. The system is based on the principal of sponsorship between authors. This system provides the sponsor with the prospect of receiving a bonus equivalent to 10% of the earnings of his/her referrals over the 12-month initial period.
Over a 12 month period, referral X earned $6.200, referral Y earned $15.600, and referral Z earned $1.300 = $23.100 / 10% = Bonus for the sponsor: $2.310
IS THERE A LIMIT TO THE REFERRAL PROGRAM?
There is no limit to the use of the referral program. An author may accumulate an unlimited number of referred over time and thereby increase his/her earnings on TextMaster.
ASSIGNMENTS
WHAT IS QUALITY CONTROL?
Certain files must go through Quality Control before they are sent to the client. Our proofreading team reviews these texts and can ask for a revision if it is deemed necessary. The changes should be made in less than a business day to avoid delays for the client. Otherwise, the document may be repossessed and made available to other authors. Be careful: too many requests for revision can result in your author level being downgraded, temporary suspension of your account, and eventually, your account being blocked entirely.
THE KEYWORDS REQUESTED BY THE CLIENT CONTAIN ERRORS.
Once a client requests that certain keywords be included, they must be written as is for the system to take them into account. Keywords may have spelling or grammar mistakes, but neither the Quality Control team nor the client can hold you accountable for them.
MAY I RE-USE CONTENT ALREADY PUBLISHED IN ANOTHER FORMAT (WEBSITE, PRESS, BOOK, ETC.)?
No. Producing original content is first and foremost the most important requirement for every author who writes, proofreads, or translates content through TextMaster. Any content that is found to contain all or part of a previously published text will be turned down. The penalty imposed on the author may go as far as immediate exclusion from the community and the loss of unclaimed earnings.
THE CLIENT REQUESTED SEVERAL TEXTS THAT SEEM TO BE THE SAME. CAN I SUBMIT THE SAME TEXT MORE THAN ONCE?
No, you may not. Each document must be unique. A client may request texts that seem very similar, but it is absolutely imperative that each text is different.
WHAT HAPPENS IF A CLIENT ASKS FOR CHANGES IN THE CONTENT PRODUCED?
The client is free to ask for a review of the written content. They may do so if they think that certain factors in their specifications were not respected or if the spelling, syntax, or vocabulary does not comply with the standards required.
WHAT HAPPENS IF A CLIENT TURNS DOWN THE CONTENT THAT I HAVE PRODUCED?
TextMaster allows clients to turn down content that they feel does not comply with their specifications. Every assignment that is turned down is evaluated by the TextMaster moderators, who establish whether turning it down was justified. If the moderator agrees with the reasons given by the client for turning it down, you will have to complete the assignment again until you have satisfied the order. On the other hand, if the moderator disagrees with the client’s request, the assignment is automatically considered as accepted.
WHAT RIGHTS DOES THE AUTHOR HAVE AS REGARDS THE CONTENT?
For each assignment, the author retains authorship rights over the content. This gives the author no prior right as regards to the use of the content, and no assignment carried out through the intermediary of TextMaster allows authors the right to ask for identification of any kind.
AM I NAMED AS AUTHOR OF THE CONTENT WHEN IT IS USED?
No. All content produced through TextMaster is transmitted to the client along with all rights of ownership and use. Authors may not request identification of any kind.
I DO NOT WANT TO RECEIVE ANY MORE AVAILABLE MISSION NOTIFICATIONS.
You can stop the sending of these notifications by going to your profile and editing the settings under "Notification Parameters."
HOW SHOULD I PROCESS TRANSCRIPTION MISSIONS?
Transcription missions require no creativity. All you have to do is write what you hear in the audio clip.
THE AUDIO CLIP DOES NOT HAVE AS MANY WORDS AS THE CLIENT REQUESTED.
The number of words requested depends on the length of the audio file. It is possible that the final text has more or less words than initially requested. A margin is given so that you can submit the text to the client.

HOW DO I PURCHASE CONTENT ON TEXTMASTER?
Purchasing content on TextMaster takes place as follows:
- Create a free client account;
- Purchase a credit Bundle by clicking on ‘My Credit’;
- Enter your project order;
- Once the content has been produced, download your content. .
HOW ARE THE AUTHORS RECRUITED?
The authors are recruited using various specific operations, and are then subjected to different evaluation tests. These exercises are then checked by a moderation team who either validate or turn down each profile. We can therefore guarantee you a very high standard.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY ORDER TO BE PRODUCED?
This varies depending on the type of order. If you have requested only one simple article, your content will very probably be produced in just a few minutes. On the other hand, if you are waiting for a large volume of content in a very specific area, it could take as long as a few days.
HOW DO I RETRIEVE MY PURCHASED CONTENT?
Once TextMaster has dealt with an order, the content produced will remain available for download for an unlimited period of time. To download, just go to ‘My Assignments’ on your dashboard, select the desired format, e.g. .txt, .csv, or .xml, and retrieve your content.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I AM NOT SATISFIED WITH THE CONTENT PRODUCED?
Once the finished content has been produced, you have 7 days following delivery to check the work provided. If the content does not correspond exactly to your expectations, you may ask for a revision from the author, detailing as clearly as possible the reasons for your request. If, despite these exchanges, you feel that the content delivered still does not respect your request, then you may contact our moderation team. If they agree, another author, at no additional cost to you, will carry out the order again.
MAY I RESELL CONTENT PURCHASED ON TEXTMASTER TO A THIRD PARTY?
Yes, you may resell content purchased on TextMaster. There are no limits on time, volume, or amount.
WHAT ARE MY RIGHTS AS REGARDS THE CONTENT?
The client has complete rights of use over content acquired through the intermediary of TextMaster. The client may use it with no limits on volume, or time on- or off-line.
WHAT IS QUALITY CONTROL?
Standard level missions are systematically checked by our proofreading team to ensure that they are error-free. This intermediary step may require some additional time.
IF I CANCEL MY ORDER, WILL MY CREDITS BE REIMBURSED?
Upon cancellation, credits from files that no author has yet begun to work on will be reimbursed.
IF I DON'T WANT TO WORK WITH A CERTAIN AUTHOR, HOW CAN I AVOID THIS?
You don't like an author's work? You have the ability to blacklist certain authors. Either go directly to the text to review and click on the module in the right-hand column, or go to the menu “My Authors.” Once you have placed an author on your blacklist, the author will no longer be able to see your missions and thus can no longer work for you.
HOW DO I PUT AN AUTHOR ON MY GREEN LIST?
You like a certain author's work? Put that author on your green list so that he/she will have priority access to your missions. To do this, you should use the appropriate module in the right-hand column when reviewing a file or by finding the author in question in the ”My Authors” menu.
HOW CAN I ASSIGN A PROJECT TO A SPECIFIC AUTHOR?
You can specifically choose one or more authors for your project. These authors must be on your green list. In the first stage of creating your project, after selecting the quality level, you should check the box allowing you to limit the assignment of your project to your TextMasters. You can then choose from the authors that you have previously put on your green list. Only these authors can process your order.
BUNDLES AND CREDITS
IS IT REALLY POSSIBLE TO ORDER CONTENT AT A RATE OF $0.007 PER WORD?
Yes, it is entirely possible to acquire content at the rate of $0.007 per word. This price is available to all clients who buy an H Bundle. Each Bundle corresponds to a price and an amount of credits. There are no additional costs.
WHAT IS A CREDIT?
Credits are the virtual money used on TextMaster for all transactions with clients. TextMaster credits are available as Bundles, at a starting price of $0.007. See pricing page.
DO CREDITS HAVE A LIMITED LIFESPAN?
Yes, credits bought on TextMaster have a lifespan of 365 days.
DO I HAVE TO PURCHASE A BUNDLE TO MAKE AN ORDER?
Yes, purchasing a Bundle is unavoidable to be able to order content on TextMaster.
WHAT IS A CREDIT BUNDLE?
To purchase content through TextMaster, each client must acquire a credit Bundle. A Bundle is a prepaid packet that contains a number of credits, the price of which depends on the quantity requested. The higher your Bundle, the more credits it will contain and the lower the unit price of the credits will be.
WHICH BUNDLE SHOULD I CHOOSE?
Purchasing a bundle on TextMaster depends on the required volume of content and level of expertise of the writer. If you need several thousand words that need to be written by an expert, you will need a large Bundle. On the other hand, if you only want a brief article for a local paper, a small Bundle will be sufficient.
WHAT PAYMENT OPTIONS ARE ACCEPTED FOR PURCHASING A BUNDLE?
We offer several different secure payment options for purchasing Bundles. You can choose to pay by card, transfer, or PayPal.
HOW DO I PAY BY WIRE TRANSFER?
To purchase credits by bank transfer, proceed as follows (Please note that payment by transfer is only possible for the purchase of a Bundle D or above):
- Create a free client account;
- Select a Bundle and indicate that you wish to pay by transfer;
- Download the invoice generated by TextMaster;
- Send the transfer order to your bank. Make sure you include the invoice reference number in the wording of your transfer order;
- Upon receipt of payment, your client account will be credited and you can enter your order.
WILL I RECEIVE AN INVOICE AFTER PURCHASING A BUNDLE?
Yes, as soon as your purchase of credits is recorded, an invoice is made available to you on your dashboard. This remains available in your client space for an unlimited period and you can download it whenever you like.
REFERRAL PROGRAM
HOW DO I EARN CREDITS THROUGH THE REFERRAL PROGRAM?
TextMaster offers a referral program that potentially allows clients to increase their credits. The system is based on the principle of sponsorship between clients. This system offers the sponsor the prospect of receiving 10% of the credits spent by their referrals over a 12-month period.
Over a 12 month period, referral M spent 300 000 credits, protégé N spent 15 000 credits, and referral O spent 1 860 000 credits = 2 175 000 credits / 10% = Bonus for the sponsor: 217 500 free credits.
IS THERE A LIMIT TO THE REFERRAL PROGRAM?
There is no limit to the use of the referral program. A client can accumulate an unlimited number of referred over time and thereby increase their credits on TextMaster.

HOW DO I USE THE TEXTMASTER API?
The TextMaster API is a tool that allows you to check the TextMaster database to manage your orders from a site or a remote device. Service users can therefore enter an assignment, follow the production, and check and download the content without having to go through the TextMaster interface. I CAN’T SEEM TO REGISTER MYSELF OR IDENTIFY MYSELF ON TEXTMASTER
Check that your browser accepts cookies and that your firewall isn’t preventing you from sending information.
I HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE CONFIRMATION EMAIL
After the initial registration stage (email and password), you should receive an email containing a confirmation link. By clicking on this link you activate your account and you can start to follow the process. If you have not received this email, check your spam folder, or click here to receive the message again.
MY EVALUATION TEST HAS NOT BEEN SAVED
It is possible that during your evaluation your system encountered a problem connecting to our servers. This may have prevented your evaluations from being saved. If this is the case, we regret to inform you that you will have to take these evaluations again.
